Hari ki Pauri means ‘Steps of Shiva’ where the river Ganges enters plains from the hills. Devotees believe that Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu visited the Brahmakund in Har ki pauri in the Vedic period. In this most sacred place of Shaivites, Kumbh Mela takes place once in twelve years. The Ganga aarti takes place every evening at Har ki pauri, which was started by Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya. I found this place, not only as a place of religious significance, but as a place where humanity reposes its faith on nature and God. This place is holy, by virtue of the belief of Hinduism and it reverberates with life and bliss.
