Warsaw New Town is a neighbourhood dating back
to fifteenth century, which was earlier forms as an independent city. During
Warsaw Uprising this was completely destroyed and rebuilt in 1954, though not
fully. The early morning walk around my hotel and work starting from Marie
Curie Monument, through Zakroczymska, Ulica Kościelna, Krzyż Traugutta, Iglesia
de San Kazimierz, plac Krasińskich 6, Supreme Court of Poland, Warsaw Uprising
Monument, Warsaw Old Town and Marja Sklodowska Cvrie Museum. The fortitude of
the people and the enormity of the buildings and sombre design has an overpowering
effect.
