This
temple has a square base and stage with flat roof with carved cornices, which
is surmounted by a pinnacle, was built in 1694. Its impressive terracotta sculptures
depict scenes from Ramayana, Mahabharata and Puranas. This temple is dedicated
to Lord Krishna, who is also called as Madan Mohan. This is one of the largest temples
in Bishnupur. The presiding deity is Madan Mohan with Radha. One can find
finest of terracotta tiles, brickwork, decorations and workmanship here, which
has an interesting historical anecdote
