Chattushrigi means mountain with four peaks. Goddess Chattushringi also called as Goddess Ambareshwari is the reigning deity of city of Pune. The temple atop the hill can be reached by 170 steps. There are shrines for Goddess Durga and Lord Ganesh on four separate hillocks. Vijaya Dashami is celebrated with great fervour annually. The temple is well planned and landscaped with flights of stairs and there are two of them. It is in an idyllic atmosphere and the Goddess is very benevolent and powerful.
