The Tibetan word Min-drolling means ‘perfect place for emancipation’. This monastery was established in exile by Trichen Jurme Kunzang Wangyal, the Eleventh Mindrolling Trichen in 1976 for practicing Dharma of Vajrayana Buddhism. The World Peace Stupa was constructed in 2002. The stupa houses shrines of Shakyamuni Buddha, Padmasambhava, Min-drolling lineage, Ati Zabdon and Dzogchen and sacred relics, murals and Tibetan Buddhist art. The façade of stupa is painted with Maitreya ‘the future Buddha’ depicting the descent of Buddha from Devaloka. There are several large prayer wheels surrounding the stupa. On both the sides of The World Peace Stupa there are 8 miniature stupas. The intricate, bright, colourful and vivid details of architecture, decorations and designs offer an enchanting view.
