This is a Shia institution built in the memory of twelve Imams, was constructed out of funds which had accumulated from an endowment originally left by a wealthy Muhammadan gentleman, Muhammad Moshin. The walls of the Imambara are decorated with decorated with texts from Holy Koran and the mosque is located in the north of the building. This two storeyed building has a wide entrance and has several rooms. The twin towers at the entrance have a massive clock between them. This congregation hall is used extensively during Muharram. This wonderful piece of architecture needs immediate maintenance with extensive repair works.
